New Adventures

Well after a busy few months have inherited a shed  :)   Have cleaned it, sealed it the best we can.  Have moved most craft boxes in, have kept my stitching & knitting supplies in doors, and looking forward to setting it all up ready for use.  The workbench was quite oily, so set about sanding it down, not a bad job done, and it is now waxed.  Just need to board up my creation wall, tidy up the wiring & put up a couple of shelves & I'll be ready to rock & roll!  Oh, & maybe a quick re-hoover.

Dusting Time

Thought I'd give the old blog a dust off & communicate with the world once more.  Have spent the morning sorting out my stitching & giving 'Poppy Cottage' a dust off, with this lovely weather we've been having I fancied looking at a peaceful country scene, & this does the trick.  Found out that I have two frames that fit in my stitching stand, bonus, & carried out a WIP change.  Just looked at some past pictures of 'Poppy Cottage' to find I've put it in the frame upside down!  Oops...  Will potter off & deal with that in a minute, just after I've finally cooled down slightly

3 hours stitching done today, along with watching 'The Fighter' (fantastic film), & 'The Amazing Spider-Man' (a worthy watch).  Am now creating dinner, and onto watching some more films.

Hello again folks, I spent most of yesterday preparing my new kit, 'The Flying Scotsman' by Faye Whittaker, and today I put it in my stitching frame.  Am really looking forward to stitching this kit as I love all the colours in it, plus it's all whole stitches, with olny a little bit of backstitch for detail.  I will attempt to keep a count of time spent stitching it, but sometimes I do tend to sticth without taking a check of time stitched, so we'll see.  I will however keep posting my progress.

Constructive & Creative Working Together

Spent most of today being 'constructive'... The house has been cleaned from top to bootom, all surfaces polished, floors hoovered, even cleaned the kitchen & bathroom!  I hate cleaning kitchen's & bathroom's.  & managed 2 loads of washing, oh & started back at work.  Was feeling quite alright about it all & thinking that maybe I'll go through my stitching stash again tonight when the postman arrived & delivered my free subsription gift from a magazine I just subscribed to, am 1 happy Jos!  So this evening I am preparing the kit ready for me to start stitching, am looking forward to starting it.

Mums Ducks

I have finally finished them!  It has taken a while, but at last they are no longer a WIP, now a fully fledged finish of piece.  Will now give them a bath and find a lovely frame for them to live in  :)

Just need to work what I'll do next...

Have done i little bit of stitching today, the duck's have finally something solid to stand on, and am currently working on giving them a sweet little ripple effect.

Have sorted through my photos and thought I would post up the ones not already here. The first is of a special Birthday card I made for someone special :)
The ducks are coming along quite nicely, the progress here is just from a few hours today, am glad that the rest is mainly solid blocks. Will keep you posted.

This will be a lovely picture of a cottage with a field of Poppies in front, my ideal home. Have done one of these before, now am doing one just for myself.
